Daily Schedule: Mon/Wed Weeks 13-15
Week 13
Monday, November 27
Come to class having printed, read, and notated:
Carter's Where Writing Begins, Chapter 6. In your notations of the text, be on the lookout for what definitions Carter presents of writing and of good writing. What are the key terms that he introduces and develops? Also notice how Carter uses other academic voices to build his argument. Discuss draft one. After class, each student will be required to post (via the class email: "reply all") a proposal for your First Analysis, which will consist of a developed statement wherein you share the controversy in evaluation surrounding a particular artifact or group of artifacts that then calls for you to apply a specific method to attempt to resolve. This should be at least one full paragraph. |
