Workshopping: general requirements
As an integral part of the course, workshopping demands participation inside and outside the classroom. Once we establish workshop groups, these will remain for the entire semester unless changes are in order due to specific situations that you bring to my attention.

Frequently asked questions
Here are two frequently asked questions:
"The comments I get from my peers are not from the instructor, so how should I listen to them?"
“As I am reading and analyzing other people's writing I find it really hard to make sure I am actually doing it correctly. If I am doing it wrong will it completely screw up the people I am giving my comments to?”
In any case, through practicing this again and again you will inevitably get better at it.
The purpose of sharing these in a group is to let others help you, and for you to contribute to other’s understanding. At the same time you cannot “copy” anyone, but must innovate in some way, performing differently from your group mates’ efforts. |
